Link-Belt Excavators: 150 Year Anniversary
150 Year anniversary branding campaign

What is the significance of 150 years? It is a timeframe outside of what most people can envision.
Link Belt Excavators started in the agriculture industry. The arc of their company’s history spans the evolution from horse-drawn plows to GPS-guided, fully autonomous equipment. Few homes had electricity, a telephone, or indoor plumbing. Most people made their own clothing.
When Link Belt filed its first patent, the Ottoman Empire existed. The British Empire controlled a fourth of the Earth’s land surface. Germ theory was still being formulated. The changes have been breathtaking.
And yet the basic principles remain. Trust is built day by day. By doing what you say you will do. By making tools that improve the quality of life of your customers. By putting in the hard work. Everything has changed, and the important things have remained the same.
LBX has done what fewer than half a percent of all the businesses in history have done. They have survived and thrived for 150 years. They have seen massive changes in culture, technology, and politics. And they have stayed true to who they are.
Here’s to another 150.
